I Am The Mountain

What began as late-night, campfire-soul songs of singer-songwriter Colton O’Reilly have now echoed through almost every music-friendly space around Calgary. From bars and festival stages, to caught-in-your-brain as you fall asleep, I Am The Mountain is everywhere. As the band grew into a full ensemble, the earnestness of their early folk songs have morphed into luxurious still-life songs that bring bodies together with smart drumming and scintillating guitar work. Their most recent release, ‘DOT’, is a collection of singles that encapsulates the band’s new sound. I Am The Mountain’s 2023 direct-to-vinyl record titled ‘Where You’re Coming From’ has a dynamic and raw quality to the songs as the band gives a heartfelt live performance in one single take.
